the tea bag olympic committee

(join now)

Founded one Sunday afternoon during the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.‡

The proposal is sound, with numerous possibilities...

Just like the normal Olympics, but with distinct differences.
Ever wondered what it would be like to play tennis with two teaspoons and a teabag? Or shot-put with a teabag?

We have.

Take a tagged teabag after use and do the hammerthrow, or put the cup on top of the cupboard and try to play a bit of basketball. (Teabag has to be dry though.)
Or use a wet and warm teabag and a block of ice for a game of curling.
We propose to have monthly play-offs with a once yearly get together and nationwide games. Perhaps Five Roses could do the sponsoring.
Sign up now to receive the free newsletter and you will be informed of the next meeting. There is no joining fee at present, although you are required to bring your own teabag.
Be warned that it is a dangerous sport and protective gear should be worn at all times. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries arising from unsupervised use and/or misuse of teabags.

more ideas...
discus
two teaspoons on the table and you got hockey
soccer if you are careful
stack the boxes for highjump
curling - using a warm teabag and block of ice

‡(Douglas Adams fans should understand.)
