Struggle Country

this is our land

it has not been easy, Shaka struggled to build an empire, the Voortrekkers struggled to get away from the mountain and the last generation struggled to abolish Apartheid.

but in the end we are all visitors here, from the mlungu that came from Europe, to the amaZulu from the north and the tourists flocking over for the sun.

we all share this beautiful country and try to carry on, no matter how hard it is, because we are Africans. all of us.

some days it is a struggle to stay sane, but we have learned how to open a bottle of beer, so we survive.

but what makes the country great?

listen to the stories and people, and learn.

then ask yourself why we carry on.

honestly, we don't know either.
